Our Roots

In 2021, Reclypt started as a blog for upcycled fashion, showcasing local independent brands in NYC and promoting awareness of circular fashion practices. Based on the valuable feedback from our growing community, we evolved into a marketplace, featuring and supporting the very brands we initially highlighted on our blog.

As the marketplace gained more traction, Reclypt quickly evolved into offering upcycling event such as mending clubs, clothing swaps, panel discussions, and pop-ups. Again, as a direct result of listening to and growing with our community.

Reclypt is now here so you can feel less overwhelmed navigating the nuance and ever-changing landscape of "sustainability.” To pay homage to our roots, our shop features one upcycled fashion designer per month. This approach allows us to consistently showcase the creative work of upcyclers, staying true to our initial mission.

eddys brand is a more sustainable option for baby & toddler clothes.

Our outfits are made with second-hand cotton sweaters that are unraveled and reknit into our durable garments. Our buttons are 3D printed with recycled plastic, creating no new cotton or plastic waste.

Founded by Carla Farina in 2017, a fashion designer with over a decade of experience in design, development, and manufacturing. eddys started as a shift from fast fashion design to sustainable design.
